Formerly known as Water Babies, our Guppies classes are for children 4-48 months of age. This class offers a safe, gentle approach to introduce your child to the water in a friendly environment with an experienced instructor.
This class is for beginner swimmers who are not safe or independent in the water.
Designed specifically for children ages 3-5 years old, our Starfish classes are a great way to introduce children to the water while building comfort & confidence in the shallow area of the pool.
No prior swim experience is necessary.
Along with learning how to be safe in the water, skills learned will include balance & walking, breath control, floating & kicking. Children will need to be able to follow simple directions, separate easily from parent/caregiver, and be able to stay in their “safe place” in the water during other participant’s instructional time.
Jellyfish classes are conducted in the mid to deep pool section. This class is for children 6 years of age and older who are just starting swim lessons or are moving on from our Starfish classes. This class uses a progressive approach to build basic water skills while focusing on safety. Skills learned include breath control, floating & kicking, roll over breathing, beginner freestyle arm stroke.
Our Otters classes focus on strength and coordination while continuing to build independence in the water. Conducted in the mid to deep pool section, participants will focus on skills such as kicking & finning, streamline with roll over breath, freestyle arm stroke with roll over breath. Participants must have successfully mastered our Jellyfish class in order to enroll in our Otters class or have passed a swim evaluation.
Stroke Development group classes are for those who have mastered Otter skills. Swimmers will learn the proper techniques and skills to swim each stroke. Stroke classes include; Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly, & Survival Strokes (Elementary Backstroke & Sidestroke).
Specifically tailored for the adult swimmer, our Adult Group Classes are great for beginners to advanced. Adult 1 is an introduction to the water. Skills taught include breath control, floating and kicking. Adult 2 builds on Adult 1 skills and introduces the fundamentals of freestyle. Adults continue to learn techniques & skills in our Adult Stroke Classes.
Private lessons are for swimmers of all ages and all levels. Private lessons are a great way to learn and master a specific skill or stroke. Participants will get one-on-one instruction for every lesson. Additional swimmers may be added to private lessons for an additional fee.
